Most Aussie women draw their ancestry back to England, yet for some reason they tend to be more attractive on average than women from England. You would think it would be about the same ratio, but no.

I also think the women in Australia are on average more friendly than women from England.

Australia is a multicultural country - more so than England - although England does have sizeable ethnic groups. Especially if you've been hanging around in Sydney etc; half the people you see walking around the streets are probably not even Australian, but tourists/visitors.

Maybe it's our more sunny outlook on life? Maybe to do with the clothes they wear? I've met many attractive English women, btw, so I think it's partly subjective too.

One reason is diet, the UK diet on a whole is one of the worst in the world. Also far more sunshine hours in Aussie.

We're actually 'fatter' on average than the UK, although obesity rates for young people 15-35 years old are lower than the US and the UK.

And unfortunately Aussies are on average fatter than Americans! Now that was a shocker the day I read that in "The Australian" (I know its a Murdoch rag).

I always take some of those findings with a grain of salt.....no-one from a research company has ever asked me my height weight and bodyfat levels......to be accurate it needs to incoporate the entire population

I've seen plenty of overweight Australians no doubt. A lot of it due to moving to a lot of processed foods and tons of sugar in the diet.

I don't know if I'd consider Australian women attractive on the whole. I've personally known hundreds over the years and there might be the odd diamond in the rough, but most are not attractive at all.

New Zealand girls on the other hand tend to be more attractive I think overall. Some of them are not feminine but I'd say I see far more attractive women in NZ cities than Australia. The Scottish descent south island buxom farm girls is where the action is. And no I'm not talking about the sheep BTW.

really? I'm from CA but thought that the girls in Sydney were gorgeous (tall, thin and doll like) including some in Melbs but mostly Syd. I wouldn't be too surprised to see models when I was out and about I also heard that a lot of models have emerged from Perth.
