I was in Australia not too long ago. Amazing place but i wouldn't call it the best country. You can't buy guns at wallmart, cars are expensive, internet is slow, no mountains( no a 2k meter hill is not a mountain in my book) no volcanos, no harsh winters, and very expensive.
haha so true on all points. You can still buy guns but need to apply for a license first!

No guns at Walmart is a very good thing. No volcanoes is a good thing long term. No winters is a very good thing.

I haven't been to Australia, but do know there are volcano's there.
* Low crime rate, gun control ensures no crazies like in America where they just start shooting up random people.
* Climate is very favorable: no harsh winters, where there is very hot heat it is mainly dry (>40C). Most of the country has at least one wet season which means water can be managed.
* Impressive mineral reserves like iron ore and noble elements.
* Easy access to growing SE Asia markets.
* No tornadoes or earthquakes and typhoons are limited to sparsely populated areas.
* Very friendly people.
* English language.
* European mores and values.
* Varied cuisine (I found great Greek/Italian/Chinese in Melbourne for instance).
* Political and economic stability.
The civilized world, actually believes it's a good thing you can't buy guns at Walmart.
Define civilized world. I love guns does that make me uncivilized?
