I'm assuming you're talking about Steve Irwin when you say Crocodile Dundee. I don't know if you guys heard, but he passed away last year. He was pierced in the heart with a stingray barb.
Crocodile Dundee predates Steve Irwin.
I forget the actor's name, but he was an Australian who played an Australian who visited the United States. He was having cultural misunderstandings and just a whole lot of fun in the States. It was an American movie - three of them in total I believe.
Check out those films! They're funny. Many Americans fell in love with that actor and particularly his accent.

The actors name is Paul Hogan. He has done films in both the US and Australia. Good actor!
The Aussies I meet online are so nice and seem to enjoy life.
I don't know what goes on in Oz, must be good.
'Down Under'--exact opposite of the rest of the world? Hmmm? Might be on to something
I've always been fascinated by Australia.. and youre right, all the Aussies I've met online are very nice, in fact I've known a few Aussies now for about 4 or 5 years online. Theyre always friendly and generally outgoing.
I would LOVE to go to Australia someday. To see Sydney, the Outback, and the Great Barrier Reef. Definitely one of my dreams. Love the accent as well.. heck even my favorite movie is an Aussie movie (Muriel's Wedding).
Interesting.. have you been to both places? I'm from California and always wonder about Australia, I definitely am going to visit there someday. I get the impression its kind of a more conservative / less diverse group of people living there than here in California but it sounds like a really cool place.

Yes I have. I lived in New Zealand for a while and travelled to OZ many times. Surfers paradise has a very similar feel to southern orange county, and the diverse landscape and great climate give it a similarity to California in general. Great cities, huge diversity, surf and beach culture etc If you have grown up in California then I'm sure you would love Australia.
Auzies R great we get ALOt who come over to NZ there real outgoing an realy nice
