If I remember correctly, they were supposed to run one other time in the mid-80s but for some reason it became a Non-Outlaws sanctioned race and only a few showed up. Flemington ran some Open Comp 410 shows a couple of seasons, and of course the more regional URC Sprint Cars in the 70s and 80s.

Wolfgang won a USAC Silver Crown race at Flemington around '82 or '83 when there was still a link (growing weaker) between the Silver Crown Car drivers and Indy.

Josef Newgarden was in a really bad crash during today's now postponed Texas race. He has a broken clavicle and small fracture in his hand. If not for the SAFER barrier it could have been a lot worse. The series will return to the track on August 27th.

I saw the crash, hadn't heard about his injuries, sounds like a great endorsement of the car's as well as the track's safety enhancements to escape with those injuries, I was a little concerned after he exited the car and looked on the verge of passing out.

Scott Dixon absolutely shredded the field at Watkins Glen today. Best part of the race (for me) was Paul Tracy commenting on Marco Andretti's future. When asked where he thought Marco's next ride would be, Paul said "with Uber."

I had to laugh last year when I came upon this article. Why would he think they would ever be interested in him?: IndyCar's Marco Andretti still interested in F1 move,

hahaha gotta love Tracy. Marco and Graham were both over-rated and probably never get a ride without the name.
