17 races on 3 street courses, 5 ovals and 9 road tracks.

In my opinion, anyway, it is a better mix of tracks, although some of the street races have just been crash fests in the past.

That is one thing I like about IndyCar (at least compared to NASCAR) is the mix of road, oval, and street. Glad they decided to bring Laguna Seca back and keep Portland. Both should be good races.

Wasn't a bad race, but it wasn't a great race. Same problem as F1, a lot of races are won with pit strategy rather than out of track.

There are a couple things I like better about Indycar than F1 - push-to-pass makes more sense than DRS; the "impeding" rule in qualifying, while brutal, at least attempt to give everyone a fair chance; the cars and wings are a little more beefy, meaning that minor contact doesn't spew knife-sharp carbon fiber shards everywhere.

I have tickets for the inaugural Indy race here in Austin. Tickets are 1/10th the cost of F1.

Not a bad race, although I think the track limits rule was a huge mistake and caused more problems than it solved.

But, wow, congrats on that win, may it be the first of many! Hoping for better for Rosenqvist!

Also, sorry, announcers, but I remember Ferrucci and his father from their infamous F2 behavior - generally I am happy to root for up-and-coming drivers, but not this one.

The race wasn't bad. I figured they'd get spread out like they did.

Everyone in my section liked the stadium super trucks best. Robby Gordon puts on a good show.

Didn't see much of the crowd in the shots - what was attendance like? It looked like some of the grassy areas (no riser seating) were pretty full, but it also looks like those areas are small.

COTA always has a good crowd in the general admission, those are the grassy areas.

I was in turn 15 and it was probably 60% filled. Turn 12 was maybe 40% full. Nowhere near the crowd that F1 gets. And that's with much lower prices.

Except for one at a corner, the grandstands, including the main one, had very few spectators - probably numbering in the hundreds for each.

The live plus same-day replay TV viewership was 341,000 of which 84,000 was ages 18-49: SKEDBALL: Weekly Sports TV Ratings 3.18-3.24.2019 | Showbuzz Daily
