With the price of gas going up up up we will soon see more and more of these vehicles on our roads.....and there's nothing to stop it just like there is nothing to stop the high price of gas

Once gas actually got high, I'd start worrying about it.

NO, It's called build vehicles that will run on ocean water, and find a way to desalinize the ocean water.
The oceans would be an inexhaustible source or fuel for future vehicles.
Bob.

Heck, as much oil as BP dumped in the gulf I'd say using seawater out of the gulf may be viable

Seriously, I think gas to get a lot higher before there would be a serious
change in driving habits. It's just worth the price for the convenience, and the electrics are still not cost effective with the high prices to buy them,
unless you are a delivery driver going a couple of hundred miles a day. Keep in mind that when I started driving at age 16 gas was 25 cents a gallon, and I drive more now than I did then, at $3.99. That means people that started driving with $1.50 gas will go up to $24/gallon before they have seen the same percentage increase I have.
