Why would you think this to even be a possibility?

By definition, a felony generally involves a prison term of greater than 1 year. What gives you the impression that running a stop sign ever gets someone over a year in prison?

Running a stop sign in a vehicle titled/registered with the FEDS is deserving of a misdemeanor traffic citation--just like everyone else.
