But since this site sucks so bad I bet the mods will delete it for promoting myself.

Um, yeah, a 911s (Turbo, GT2 or GT3) kill AMGs in almost every aspect. What did you expect? The AMG might edge the 911 in top speed (maybe not?), but its still an honking 4 door automatic sedan. Yawn. Id take an M5 or a CTS-V over an AMG for the simple reason that theyre purely more involving and every bit as quick.

The fastest car I've driven and owned was a 1915 t-bucket I built, i didn't like T-buckets but I got a deal on all the parts, I built a 350-350 combo and a narrowed 9 inch, it was scarry fast in a straight line.

I've buried the speedo in my MKIV. It pegs at 180mph. Still had more in it as well. I've got a s/c Viper GTS but have yet to get that up beyond 125.

My FIL has a 23 bucket with a 396 in it, also with a Ford 9". The wheelie bars are there for a reason. I used to love cruisin in that monster.

The fastest I've been in were probably two. One was a 1972 SS Nova my neighbor had that he built (engine). I'm not sure of the engine etc., I think it was a 454 he had in it. All I know is, when he took off, the seat wrapped around me! The car was cool though. The other was a 1963 Avanti (Studebaker). Again, I was a passenger. He was flying down the hiway. I was young back then so I don't remember all the particulars. Must have been mid 70's on both runs. The fastest car/s I drove was a neighbors (with him in it) 1963 Corvette Stingray. Well, not really fast but fast enough for me at the time. Probably did about 70 on the hiway. For me, that was fast! The other was my 1973 Cadillac. I pushed her about 100-110 on the hiway.......once.
