As many will learn there are many ways to "travel" and get things done without the use of a gas (and money) sucking car.

tightwad, didn't you post awhile back that you own two suburbans?

If that's the case, what is your purpose in continuously posting such cut backs for everybody else?

When do you start by setting an example for all these events?

How do you propose that the basic necessities of living are to be produced and delivered to the population dense areas of the USA?

I don't have a cellphone, but I don't get reception in the places I drive my 4X4s to anyway.

Can you use some other source to make your point? Again if owning a car is so last century why are cars so popular?

Lead by example pipes. Once again you preach "do as I say, not as I do."

I can do a lot from my computer and my phone. But I still need to get around. Once again, pipes logic fails.

Driving my own car wherever I want to go and whenever I wish is freedom personified. I don't have to ask someone's leave or wait for someone else to decide to take me when it's convenient for them. I am captain of my fate and master of my soul.

No thanks. I'll keep my car and bear the cost. I'll go when I damn well please and come back when I damn well please.

That's just SOOO American!
