Well I finally sold off the Buick today. Not something I wanted to do but being a dad raising a family of 2 kids and a wife on a single income + Buick parts are expensive = not much funding (or time) to fix all the little things I wanted to.
Now with the $ burning a hole in my pocket, has me wondering what would be better....use it as a down payment (to lower the monthly payments) on a 2011-2013 Mustang....or go get my Nova and throw the money at it in upgrades....
Clean rides man.... Nice! I like the "priorities", mention family in the first sentence and then talk about blowing it all on your next automotive purchase in the second sentence. A true car guy... lol.

I wonder about that as well. Deez talks of money being a concern, but then wants to buy a car similar to what he sold (spending a lot more, and not a step towards being a more family friendly vehicle) or putting the money into an existing hot rod, which is also not family friendly. I also don't see how this will provide more time.
VERY nice looking Buick there, Deez. I'm sure the next owner will be very happy with it.
I think you should split the difference and do what my friend recently did: Bought a 2011 V6 Mustang (to keep his insurance agent happy), and then proceeded to bolt on a 175hp Turbo from Hellion. He was so ecstatic about the savings in insurance (almost $900 a year) that he figured he could spend it on upgrades.
And when he stays out of it, the car gets 30mpg on the highway! He figures that with minimal investments (headers, exhaust, chip, etc.), he should be good for 475hp. And it's a total sleeper, which I like.

Obviously I'm missing something.
I felt the same way. I think I'm missing something
