$3K-$3500 maybe $4500 if it is in perfect condition and has a clean record and no major accidents or flood damage

I think it's worth about $8500. It's in nice condition, but its also a dated design.

FWIW, NADA says full retail is $14k and clean trade-in is $11k.

I wouldn't.

That type of car I'd buy new. You can buy a new EX-L for around $26-27k, so paying ~60% for a 6- or 7-year-old car? No thanks. If it got down to around 40%, sure. Better to buy new and trade in when it gets about seven years old for 50% of what you paid for it, imo. That's always the time I've had cars begin to have minor issues pop up, when they start needing maintenance beyond oil changes, tires, and brakes, etc. For something that's just a toaster to get from A to B, I'd rather not deal with any of that and it's worth an extra couple hundred a year to me not to.

Why buy new and pay almost double? That's a terrible suggestion for someone that posted a used car, indicating the price range they are willing to pay. The vehicle OP posted has 52,000 miles, its a Honda Accord. It will be very reliable and the only maintenance needed from now until 120,000 miles will be oil changes, trans fluid changes, coolant exchange, brakes, serpentine belt and spark plugs. So add about $1400 worth of maintenance to the $14k listed price. Why pay $26k for a depreciating grocery getter.

And the person who suggested $3500? Get real. That would be a great price but not realistic unless you're talking a salvage or accident damaged car.
That car OP posted could go for anywhere from $10k to $14k. I would pay at the most $11k only because it's not my type of car and would only be ever considered as a family car.

It was the who OP asked how much would YOU pay for that car and I gave a realistic response since I would use it as a secondary car.

Since I need and daily drive a F250 for work purposes and weekend tow/hauling needs... So I was being 100% completely honest as to how much I would pay for that car.

OP said you but in context they want suggestions for their purchase. It's just not realistic, regardless of how many cars you own. I'd pay $3500 too. That'd be the steal of the century!

Until you get home and realize the car drives sideways from the frame damage.

The car I drive now, I drive it to work and back and to the grocery store/shopping. If I travel on the interstate, I rent a car. I'm looking to pay $15,000 or less for my next car. Not really interested in a new car or the price. I have a relative in the Houston area who will inspect and test drive the car for me. I live about 7 minutes from my job and don't plan on traveling in the car.
