That was a no brainer! Good video, Jay always gives me a chuckle or two.
I don't think it was a no-brainer. I would have chosen the Mustang, and it looks like most people think the same. As a matter of fact the Mustang is still the only one of the bunch that I'd have any interest in driving.
I agree, Leno did a great job. I loved the part with him driving at the end.
Cool cars! That '69 Dodge Polara actually does have A/C. If you notice when it shows a clip of the engine, you can clearly see the A/C compressor.
I wonder why they didn't show the smaller models? I know that in the 60s-70s, they also used the Plymouth Satellites and Dodge Coronets as police cars (like they had on Adam-12).
Years ago I was talking with a county sheriff who was attending a funeral of a mutual acquaintance. I asked him what was the fastest cop car he had ever had. He said it was a 1975 LTD with the police engine and he had it up to 140mph once.....gezzzzz thats rollin in a big car like that .I believe the all time fastest cop car was the late 60s dodge with the 440
In 1964 the fairlane 500 (with the special order package) was the fastest production car made. They were too small for the police to use however.
