How enlightened. How many of them have you driven to call them "stinkers"?

I love Japanese cars but I prefer American trucks. My veteran grandfather hates Japanese products.

Better than American cars at least...I recently bought an 45k Acura TL...works and runs better than a 60k Cadillac.

Do you not drink tea because of the Boston Tea Party?

I will never forget the day that we drove into my parents driveway with a new 85 Camry. My mother was disgusted and stormed into the house. Never mind that we also had a 83 Accord. My mom worked for the Railroad which transported mostly GM, Ford and Chrys.. Although she belonged to the union, she was not tied to their philosophy. My dad served in WWII in the Navy in the Pacific. They were loyal GM buyers: 3 chevys, 2 Olds, 6 Caddies plus 3 chevy trucks. We were looking for reliability. After buying a new Volvo in 75 that was a POS, the Accord was a welcome relief. All of our Japanese cars have lasted a long time. Just traded a 03 Accord V6 for a Lexus ES350. I don't care really what people say, I want a car that is dependable and not going to spend all of its time in the shop and or be costing an arm and a leg to fix.

I never cared about my car's ethnic background. A car should be judged not on its country of origin but on the quality of its operation.

When I was a kid, "Made in Japan" was a synonym for cheap crap. Today, my Toyota approaches 200,000 miles with no serious repairs and rides pretty much like the day I bought it. I want a new car in the worst way, I peruse the sites and "build" my new car online. But it is all for naught. I have no car payment and the damned thing won't quit. Horrible Yapanese car prevents me from pursuing new car joy. Damnable Yapanese quality.

You're doing it wrong. Put it up for sale like this dude and buy that new car with the proceeds.
