Currently, Gop pundits are bragging about how great Putin is compared to America's commander in chief. Don't be a hypocrite and move in next door to the GOP hero Snowden and you'll feel right at home as a traitor.
Putin and Obama are the same person, or hadn't you noticed? Putin is superior in that he is a collectivist thug and makes no bones about it. Obama is the same, but dissembles and distracts as a sheep in wolf's clothing.

Really Willy, you are wandering around in some kind of very thick fog. May I suggest a good colonic?

Your attempts to berate me will not work against your indoctrinated GOP sheeple mentality. I'm capable of self thought, and don't need a media network to help me understand reason. What moronic ideal can make someone think a product that produces profits outside the USA is good for America, or working Americans other than the 1% that you've been indoctrinated to support through your ignorant support of a single media network that US courts have determined are NOT news, but allowed as entertainment? Please feel free to sheeple,on in your qwest for others to complete your thought process.

I have 3 cars and all 3 are made in America, I think all 3 are made here, I think: Corvette, Camry and Tucson. I know the Corvette and Camry are, I'm pretty sure the Tucson is as well.

To me, I'm going to buy the best car I can get for my dollar. I have no brand loyalty as my wallet is not big enough for that.

The only two cars I have owned have been Japanese, and they were both superb automobiles for my dollar. And it is of no importance to me that they are a Japanese brand.

It's not ignorance, pal. The ignorance is on the part of US automakers who think they can palm off an inferior product on a gullible (or flag-waving) public. If and when they decide to bring their quality up to snuff, I'll happily buy American. But as long as they continue to stupidly shoot themselves in the foot, I'll buy the most reliable car I can with my buck, and that's Toyota/Honda.

Part of the reason why american cars fell so much in quality was because Americans would continue to buy the cars for nationalistic reasons. Especially in the 80's, there was a great deal of anti-japanese sentiment and the US automakers would lower standards every year and pocket the gain. It wasn't just because the US couldn't build good cars but because they didn't have to. They probably fired all their best engineers who were too expensive.

The US can build high quality machines and a good example of that is airplanes. No one picks flights based on the national origin of the plane they're flying in. Most people don't realize what model they're flying in or that Boeing is US while Airbus is not. As such Boeing doesn't get the nationalism benefit, and oddly enough, ends up making the best planes in the world.

I own Japanese built cars and will continue to while they lead the reliability results consistently. US car makers build better cars now because the Japanese competition forced them. It's not in any ones interest to try to prop up a non competitive industry if they won't fix their structural problems and will fail when the money to prop them up runs out. My first 5 cars were made by US companies the last one nearly broke GM and me trying to keep that caddy running. My last 14 have been Japanese built and they all treated me better than the best US co built car. I prefer the Japanese staying too. Admittedly I have owned only Lexus and infiniti

I've owned four brands since the 1980s. Toyota, Ford, Mazda and now Mitsubishi. The Fords (Escort and Taurus) were the worst, the Mitsu the best. The Japanese cars just caused me much less trouble than the Fords. The Mitsubishi will be three years old in May and I haven't had it in for anything save for a minor buzzing/rattle in the cover over the knee air bag. Its been completely reliable so far.

Interesting, good for you. Because IME, Mitsu was the least reliable for people I have know that owned them, but this was late 80's early 90's, Galant. Then Izusu cars, not SUV's. Suzuki I think is the least reliable.

Can we still get a truly Japanese made car? I think only Lexus. I would like a Japanese made Scion, or possible a Korean made Veloceter. On one hand, my US NUMMI built Corolla has been invincible, but I would still prefer Japanese made. Mom's Datsun was and the thing could not be stopped.
