It is not true that any white light would have been thought to be reverse lights. These were the actual reverse lights, though. You don't think engineers can't put their mind to it and think of a better solution that this one?

I highly doubt someone is going to leave their bike engine running while they are inside shopping. Plus, besides having your radio on, who's going to hear a crotch rocket's engine?

What if it was a body...any difference? You don't just whip into parking spots for the reason you just mentioned.

That's true -- most sport bikers are considerate enough to not remove the baffles from their exhaust in order to be heard from 10 blocks away.
