Folks, I really want to keep the postings intact to the extent possible. I understand folks don't like seeing their postings deleted or portions of it removed.
The site has been reviewing copyright issues, and the need to respect sources of information. Many are violating the copyright rules by extracting far too much into our postings from the source articles or posting pictures that you find on other web sites.
The proper way to bring source data into the discussion is to paraphrase the idea or concept that you want to convey as briefly as possible, but generally only a few sentences. Add the link in your posting to the sourced material.
You should be posting links to pictures not the pictures themselves.
We will be deleting postings which violate copyright rules, and we really don't want to damage the discussions. Please keep this in mind when posting.

Instead of copying-and-pasting articles, photos, or other material you find on the Internet, you should be posting links...
The best rule of thumb, if you didn't take the photo yourself, please don't post it.
ETA:Please be aware that if the photo is found on other sites that have a general copyright notice, it will be deleted. Uploading pictures to a photo sharing site does not negate a copyright.
Please, please, please do not respond to trolls. You will lose your posts where you quote them and/or any posts that answer them because those posts will be orphaned and may not make sense to the thread.
Do not start threads, nor post in existing threads, generalizing about the typical driver of a make of car. Example: All [make] drivers are idiots. It's never right to make sweeping generalizations about any group of people. Those posting such comments will be subject to infractions for trolling. Just don't do it!

Due to the seemingly inherent animosity, typically delving into the political sphere, caused by ALL threads pertaining to battery electric vehicles, the following policy is in effect for the automotive forum:
1. All BEV threads will be heavily monitored for off-topic posts. If you are unsure of the topic of the thread, re-read the title and/or any moderator notes posted in red.
2. All political posts will be deleted and possibly infracted. If you want to discuss the politics of any aspect of the automotive industry, there is a subforum for that type of discussion: HERE
3. If you have nothing constructive to say, the post will be deleted. For example, "You wait till the battery goes!" adds nothing to a discussion and will be deleted.
Please register to post and access all features of our very popular forum. It is free and quick. Over $68,000 in prizes has already been given out to active posters on our forum. Additional giveaways are planned.
