And what kind of car is it? Most car makes have enthusiast forums ... not just Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette ... but also Subaru, Cadillac, etc. Oftentimes there is great advice in a car make and model specific forum.
Another thing to consider is to ask your local deal who does their tinting? I was able to get the guys number from my sales person, and go them do to it for much cheaper then the dealer would charge.

I wouldn't go this route. Dealer usually uses cheapest and quickest. Not the type you want for tint. I have found a local shop that does a good job for $180. They pretty much leave it hapless at top of window. Many shops will leave like half inch
