We could list 1000's of reasons which are usually a problem between the seat and the steering wheel. The problem with most cars in the US is that they don't have speed sensitive steering wheels so the faster you go the harder it becomes to move out of your lane. Yet many drivers seem to think that their cars do have them. Most accidents I've seen in the US have been one car accidents.

One of the biggest problems at high speeds are the SUVs and empty pickup crowd are driving those vehicles like CARS! You can't drive them like a car, they are horrible at handling, braking and really everything. I can't tell you how many SUV's/pickups are the cause or are crashed because they just don't handle well. You can't avoid anything in them, yet people drive them like you can. If everyone was driving good cars or if they have to drive the clunky SUV/pickups, they would drive them slower and give a ton of room, there would be very few accidents on the highways.

There is a reason small cars are called pocket rockets. Nearly every accident I've seen over the past 40ish years has been small cars or caused by small cars. The small amount of accidents in regards to SUVs and Pickups have been caused by owners of 4x4s during winter who thing that because they have a 4x4 they can do 60+ during a snow storm or heavy rain.

Others called "BS on this, but I agree. An SUV is not a sports car, and should not be driven like one. If you're a Jeff Gordon wanna-be, your hind-end belongs in a sports car or a sports sedan, not a top-heavy truck-ish type of vehicle. People drive them because they think crash protection is what matters, when what really matters is having a vehicle that handles well and is less likely to crash to start with.

There isn't an interstate in this country that an SUV or pickup can't be driven safely while keeping up with the flow of traffic.

So once again in regards to those previous posts stating how they can't be driven safely-----BS!

People changing lanes suddenly without looking and without blinkers.

People merging onto highways without looking and just assuming that people will make room for them.

People overreacting to a slow down in front of them and using too much brake combined with the person behind them texting or messing with the radio.

People merging onto highways at 40mph and then automatically driving across the road to the left lanes (by far the stupidest thing I see).

Oh please. I see crunched up SUV's and full size sedans all the time here in south FL.
