How are they supposed to fix a stupid person? I would have done Just as you and seeing them unloading paid attention has red flashing lights meant unloading. Other than that they could pass law like a school bus; you must stop until the transport moves on. Quit fluming and give yourself a attaboy.
OP, I agree with you, but that's NOT heavy traffic. Come on down to Atlanta and hope on the 75 or 285 during rush hour (7am-11am) or (5pm-8pm).
ETA: Just drop it and be thankful that you had the brains to let the moron go. Eventually, he'll learn his lesson (when he gets hit).

IT IS A BIG DEAL! By allowing the pedestrian to walk in front of the bus, the pedestrian assumes he can walk in the street (which is illegal). The part that is dangerous to the pedestrian is if he's an idiot and he decides to walk in front of the left lane without making sure it's clear, he could get hit. Next thing you know the driver has to deal with the police and hopefully not live with the guilt that he killed someone.

Uhh, yeah...... the bus driver was probably thinking the same thing... his/her job is to drive a bus, not reprimand them when they do something stupid after they've gotten off the bus. There is zero fault for the bus driver here...
Yeah, I'm not seeing what the bus driver did. I was also expecting to see a jaywalker dart out in front of the car, not take a few steps, wait, look, make sure that the driver was stopped, and then cross.
Was the jaywalker in the wrong? Sure.
Was this some kind of crazy action or sign of negligence on the part of the bus company? Absolutely not.
You drive a car, you'd better be prepared for a lot worse than this.
