Best used vehicle that $6K can buy for son. (seats, Volvo, expensive)

We are looking at OLD 4Runners -- they seem to run forever.

Volvo's aren't what they used to be they have a good safety rating and are inexpensive.

Any other ideas??? Safety is an issue for us and he prefers leather seats since he runs often and cloth seems like it wouldn't hold up well with how much he works out.
