Unless the Burb has special meaning and you plan on making it a casket when you kick the bucket it's not worth it. The skill and fab work needed to do such swap surpasses most of home mechanics out there.
Speaking of the 6.2 that is one of the reasons why I want a Cummins since the 6.2 is sluggish. although I saw one on craigslist which is a 1984 4x4 6.2 1500. It has a 700r4 and he told me he put another diesel(used) engine in it.

The suburban is in East San Antonio Texas

I have no problem selling mines either . it's just I hope I can get some buyers on time to get the other one(suburban). And i wonder what price i can sell mines for [/quote]

What you want to do is expensive. It's not impossible to do just expensive. I would never spend that kind of money. You could build your 350 and the transmission to have some HP. A lot cheaper than swapping in a diesel. Of course you would need to dump the TBI injection.

How much for a 350 gas to Cummins conversion? And what are the difficulties?
If you have to ask what this involves -- A LOT!! -- then you should not consider the project.

If this is just about getting better gas mileage the amount you'll pay to swap motors and everything that goes with it will far outweigh any fuel saving you might achieve after its all said and done.
As others have said it would be a cheaper course of action to just go out and buy a used suburban already equipped with a diesel engine.

Op just find a Ford Centurion IDI 6.9L/7.3L N/A Diesel or a Navistar 7.3 Power stroke Diesel version
