Those Tesla's are cool. Yeah, it is in overpriced douche territory...but you cant argue with the acceleration.

Now the ultimate douche-mobile...BMW. Rests on its past laurels but now is kind of a Chevy...minus the standard features or reliability. And usually rented, err, leased by some nitwit who thinks he/she is cool by 'owning' one. Comes with accessory roundel to hang on a neck chain like FlavaFlav.

Those are the ones the cops need to pull over if they are on the road after 11PM.

Most (not all, but most) Porsche owners are laid back, down to earth people. But there are two segments of Porsche owners... Those who bought into the brand with a Boxster/Cayman or other "base" level Porsche just to say they made it/drive a Porsche, and then there's the majority who own Porsches because even though they could afford a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren, they don't want to seem too pretentious, but they still want an outstanding sports car. They don't want the attention that a flashier sports car brings.

There's nothing wrong with liking the finer things in life. And if you can afford them, more power to you.

So what should a wealthy person drive then to NOT look like a douche? Yet, still have it "appropriate"?

Instead of worrying about what you look like, worry about what you sound like when you use words like "douche bag." Because you sound like Betty White.

am I the only one who truly hates that phrase? What is the connection between an apparatus for clean lady parts and a jerk person?

Truthfully I label drivers douchebags not their cars. The vehicle is simply the container that encapsulates the douchebag. But as far as pretentious Ahole douchebag I vote Prius drivers. I think they automatically staple a few Aholes to your body upon receiving the keys, just to make sure they covered all the bases

I drive a Lexus LS460 which is pretty much under the radar, but also the most comfortable car I've ever driven. I also have a Porsche Boxster S which, with it's mid-engine and contrary to the post above, will out-handle a 911 every day of the week.

Base Porsches are pretty cool also. A coworker's wife has had 2 Boxters so far, I am always impressed with the build quality on those taking a look at them. However, I would like to see the engine also, too many beauty covers on those...
