I see this car on the road all the time. It's real nice looking and IMO it's far better looking than its major competitors- the RAV4 and CRV.

Saw in a recent thread here it's a best seller.

So, how come forums like this don't rave about them or even mention them at all? With the amount I see on the road you'd think they'd be discussed or recommended more often.

When we are ready to buy a new SUV within the next year I really think I'd consider a rogue.

Can anyone tell me the pros/cons to this crossover? And how it compares to it's competitors?

Not a fan of the CVT and Nissan's below average reliability.

Rogue gets a mid-cycle refresh for 2017:

2017 Nissan Rogue First Drive Review [Video] - The Fast Lane Car

Not an exciting car, but as Nissan's biggest seller, it connects with its customer base.

My wife has one. Nice looking but it needs an updated powertrain. Its 2.5 inline 4 is about 10yrs old and the cvt sucks. Lots of droning.

I looked at one real hard. I wish the driver's seat went back a bit further and I was also concerned about its reliability.

After test driving a Subaru Forester and/or a Toyota Rav-4 (as well as looking at the historical reliability ratings of all 3 models), I can't imagine that anyone would still be interested in a Nissan Rogue unless it was substantially cheaper than the clearly-superior Subaru and Toyota models.

In a reliability and build quality contest between a Nissan and a Toyota there IS no contest.....Toyota all the way.

Do your research, you'll see I'm correct.

As someone who owned one of the "bad year" models of the RAV4, I found my Toyota to be a complete money pit and honestly after I started seeing all the recalls on toyotas I started to wonder how they have the reputation they do.

I feel I got unlucky in the sense that I grabbed a bad year for that model but I've known people who bought into the Toyota hype and wound up disappointed.

I would be frustrated with a money pit too. All manufacturers make a lemon once in a while. All I'm saying is that in my experience, Toyota makes less lemon's than the other automotive makers. Your mileage may vary.

Wishing you well,
