A lot of mobile phone carriers offer roadside assistance as part of your MRC. Are you sure you aren't already covered, OP?

Not worth my time.
The guy is there faster than I could change it, the car needs a new tire anyway and the tow costs me nothing.
And it seems like the weather sucks almost every time I get one.

My wife's car doesn't even have a spare. It's a diesel and there's a DEF tank in the tire well.

OP, thanks for starting this thread. I have been considering AAA myself although my car is only 2 years old. I travel quite a bit.

We travel enough to cover the cost of a AAA membership with the hotel & attraction discounts.

Also AAA is favored by tow companies. If they get two calls, one from AAA and one from another. they will service the AAA customer first.

AAA is especially useful on a cold winter day when you need to change a tire but the lug nuts are frozen and you can't get them off. Or if your battery dies and you can't crank the starter, do you always have a friend available to give you a jump start?

If you go with AAA don't go with the basic package.

I have never needed a tow for a flat tire. I always have a spare and know how to use a jack.
Yeah i have no problem changing flat tires i'm not lazy or weak like a lot of people these days...

I have a 20 ton bottle jack i carry along with so many other small spare parts. I carry a tool box and plenty of small parts where i can fix i'd say 75% of any problems that happen on the side of the road. The only reason i need AAA is strictly for towing.

The hotel discounts alone make it worthwhile. Not having to change a flat tire when it is bitter cold is priceless.

I have Premuim plus RV and motorcycle. I had tires changed n trailers, had a RV towed free and had my personal truck taken to my mechanic which was 38 miles away. I tried a few different "tow clubs" but I always kept AAA. I dropped everyone else. Nothing beats AAA. Except if you have a commercial truck. They dont tow commercial

Try doing it on a 1 ton dually. The inner tire. I pay for the service so I use it.
