It varies. I like to keep it looking nice and sometimes the wash lasts longer depending on dust, weather, road work areas and how much I drive. I zip through a touchless car wash (well, I do stop inside ).
I wash my cars when they look like they need it (probably once a month or longer). Driving in the rain usually creates the need for those typically garaged (no snow here). Interestingly, I never see any of my neighbors washing their cars in their driveways. Assume they must use some kind of service??
I wash mine when I think it needs it..Whether it is really dirty or not..... Also when you wash it it takes micro amounts of paint or clear coat off..... Over washing can be a bad thing...
Also depends on the paint.. There have been times throughout the years when bad paint has hit all the manufacturers....
Inspired by this thread, I decided to wash my truck. I flipped the mirrors in to be safe, but the brush thingy flipped it back out and then broke the mirror. Sine the mirrors are heated, and have turn signals in them, it will cost about $1000 to replace it. I blame all of you! Thanks a lot!.

I think I will just go back to leaving my car dirty but with intact mirrors.
