I don't like them!

I know why they exist but in some cases, they go overboard. For example, too many in a parking lot (see photos).

I think those speed humps on residential streets have a flaw... most of them say "humps 15 mph." Residential streets out here have a 25 mph speed limit if there is no speed limit sign posted. So why slow down to 15 mph? It is a waste of brakes and fuel and wear and tear on the suspension.

I suppose some residents like them because it does reduce speeding but I am glad there are none on my street.

Hate them! Agreed on the silliness of a 15 mph bump in a 25 zone.

We have these ridiculous offset speed bumps in a Springfield, Oregon mall. I go out of my way to avoid them.

Hate them. Some are steep enough that you have to slow down to slower than a walk to avoid damaging your car. If I am in a parking lot where they have bumps in the aisles but all of the parking spots to the sides are wide open, I just steer around the bumps completely. If it's the ones like the first pic above, with a gap in the middle, I steer so that only the tires on one side of the car hit the bump and the other side hits the gap in the middle, assuming nobody is coming the other way.

Speed bumps, speed tables I don't like them but if we didn't have idiots that haul butt through parking lots and neighborhoods we wouldn't need them but guess what we do.

Cars are easier to drive today, have more power than ever before and people are more distracted when driving.

I live at the end of a semi private somewhat narrow road and there is no posted speed limit but a safe speed is assumed to be 20-25 but I have seen people speeding near 40 and it is crazy with all the kids that tend to play on the road.

If people took some personal responsibility we wouldn't need the stupid speed bumps.

Try Florida the speed bump,Table in the country along with roundabouts. Just about every side street and apartment and condominium complex have them. They slow up emergency vehicles also, can’t have them in the north because of plow trucks in the winter they would tear up the plow blade. That’s on reason i moved back to Michigan and the fact Michigan has no toll roads or red light cameras. We have out one speeed bumpy in the winter and spring they are called pot holes.

There are many artificial barriers to slow traffic down. Speed bumps, unless they are unmarked, non painted and plain can't be seen to slow down, are lesser concern to me.

I had more trouble with high curb and sharp turns. Vehicles are not made like harmonicas, to wrap around them. And curbs stones are never marked. And alloy rims are very expensive to replace.

Speed Bumps / Tables are "kinda fun" when driving my '86 Jeep CJ-7.

However, when driving my Chevy SSR or riding with someone else . . . NOT SO MUCH FUN.

Damn Shame inconsiderate / arrogant drivers have created the necessity.

We live on a 1/2 mile dead-end street. Some people go up the road at 40, 50, saw a guy yesterday who looked like he was trying for 60. The residential limit here is 25 MPH.

I would LOVE a speed bump on our street.

I hate 'em. I would never buy a house in a "neighborhood" that had them. No damn excuse for these.
