Any car that's stocked by rental companies will not hold value. When the rental companies are done with them they dump them on the market flooding it and making them worthless. Take the ford taurus for example, I can get rental returns for 10k or less with 20-30000 miles and in clean condition. This is for a car that sold for what, 18k new?

Exactly. I don't think people realize how much money they're flushing down the toilet on an annual basis, even if they get a decent offer on their used car.

Personally, I'd rather put that money in the bank.

Damn some of you dare mention the almighty K car. I'm surprised to hear anyone has one that actually is still going.

Last I heard that was one American car destined to fail, which is where I'll bet most "former American car owners" base their opinions off of as to why American cars are "such junk".

And to the poster with the 84 Sunturd wagon, another amazing story, I take it that's on the original engine, original transmission, original running gear?

KIA = Killed In Action

Scion = Mail truck

The PT Cruiser is one of the models that has been discontinued by Chrysler LLC.

You'll still be seeing acceptable eighties Chryslers on the road long after some of the newer budget imports have been reduced to hubcaps.
