Yes, because hiring an Apple exec worked so well for JC Penney.

There's a legion of examples, headed by Elon Musk, that show that brilliant leadership and innovation in the online/software/app world is nearly worthless in the brick-and-mortar world, and even less so in the heavy industry world.

But maybe he has an idea for a 27th Jeep model or something.

Maybe you should check his background before opining. He was an auto industry insider long before he went to Amazon.

Well, if our mutual and highly chauvinistic friend would post anything besides an article link, it might lead to sensible discussion. Or not - most of the articles are about 100 words of no particular content anyway.

Then the article should read "Chrysler hires former auto industry insider", as that's more of a qualifier on his resume. The fact that he worked at Amazon is as meaningless as hiring a movie star to head up a car company.
