I agree. I do just that.

However, that primarily helps maintain the cosmetic appearance of the vehicle, more than the mechanical elements.

It will help in the warm up of the mechanical vs. being exposed to the adverse elements and change in temps.

Well, that's true, especially in colder climates. It helps to have a climate-controlled garage. Still, either way, you don't have to deal with ice or snow accumulation inside a garage.

I'm in the southwest, and it gets hot as Hades inside the garage in the summer. Very rarely have any snow or ice, so primarily trying to keep the vehicle out of the hot sun, as much as possible. Also, for overnight security.

Some day....hopefully. I'm 53 and have never been able to keep my daily drivers in the garage. To many other things. Classic car, ATV's, SxS, and snowmobiles take all the space up.

A lot of them are mandates. Backup camera is one plus a whole lot we don't know about.

OK, I am tired of hearing that. What does it even mean? So you sell it for more than what you paid for it. Then what? Ride a bike? Inflation doesn't make you any money because you have to turn around and pay more.

I think if one is buying new, ordering it and willing to wait the time to get it, they will come out ahead. I don't think this inflation is changing the MSRP's of new vehicles. I could be wrong though.

It may not raise the MSRP but what you CAN buy are top tier trims. Trucks that are on the lot are $70K plus.

Probably so. Although when i buy new, which is very rare, i order it. If i'm spending that kind of money, it exactly like i want.

Its just math, I bought a new F150 in 2019 for 10K off MSRP. Today the trucks sell at MSRP so that 10K discount I got has evaporated and sure I can sell the truck for 5K more than I bought it new for.

https://www.carmax.com/car/22365187
2017 63K miles 28K..............I bought the identical truck brand new for 23,400.

Carmax has always been insane with their prices but now everybody is nuts.

I don't want to sell high to buy another truck at crazy prices. I have other vehicles to drive so I'm not in a jam if I wanted to sell. Someone else might take the 5K profit and buy a beater to drive around for free!
