It's life. Things don't always work out for us. That isn't what your first post alluded to though.
Look, I'm not gonna get into this too much, but...
You're hoping that thousands and thousands of people default on their loans so you can save $3500 on buying a Honda Accord (and that's IF things go back the way they are AND you were a great haggler to being with).
The clickbait article in the OP doesn’t consider the demographics of new car buyers. They’re generally pretty affluent. They’re not the people who get laid off in an economic downturn. We have such a shortage of late model used cars due to the chip and supply chain mess that used car prices are going to stay firm for the foreseeable future.
The housing market is the same way. We have a huge shortage. Most people bought before prices soared and they’re locked into absurdly low 2 1/2% fixed rate mortgages. Nobody is going to sell because they’ll never see that mortgage deal ever again.
So for prices to drop, there needs to be a supply glut. That simply isn’t where we are. 2020, 2021, and 2022 are way off in new car units sold.

That's my point.
And none of those things are happenin anyway.
Please show were I stated that ? You're replying to the wrong person. You couldn't give me a Honda Accord.
I blame C4C for the demise of so many good 302-engined Ford Explorers that would make good engine cores. Now, it's damn near impossible to find a cheap 302 block that hasn't been bored 0.040" over already
QFT. just try to find a roller capable XXX casting for under $500 as you said...not bored into tissue paper
More likely to crash prices is the sudden release of the thousands of nearly completed new cars that have been sitting in parking lots and fields for months waiting for chips. When they finally get the chip issue worked out, there will be a glut of new cars suddenly available. They will need to move them quickly because they are this years model (or last years). They can still sell them as new since there were never completed, but the models change year to year so they will soon be outdated models.
