That graceful flyer the Ford Falcon and the timeless, celestial Mercury Comet
Whats inappropriate about them?, The Falcon, May have been a failure in America? (..And nearly was here) and I agree, the First Generation models, Weren't much chop (American cars aren't suited to our roads), But the Aussie Second and Third generations, Were brilliant.
Anyway, You may be getting the Falcon marque back (Courtesy Of Us), As Ford Australia, Are looking a Copying General Motors Holden's idea, Of exporting the "Seventh Generation" falcon, Back to the parent company.

Well, the US Falcons had neither the grace, speed, nor agility of those noble birds.
Neither did our 1960's Falcons, As they were nothing More Than RHD US Falcons
Oh, y'all must have sat around and tipped a few (LOT) to even want to try a 2nd and then a 3rd edition of those miserable POS'. Glad they came up with some good changes, wish we could have seen them though because that name in the US is always going to bring up a mental image of a broken down, slow, poo box that handled like a sick pig on roller skates.

LOL, It really all came down, To Ford Australia, Dropping the UK Ford Zephyr and Wanting a competitor, To Holden's "F-Series" range.
After the intial mechanical bugs were worked out and the dawning realisation, That just because it worked in the US, Dosen't mean it will Down Under!..They actually started to built a decent car.
They'll possibly rename them, For the US market, As they'll be aware of the negative association?
