I personally think America's transportation infrastructure is gonna be a major problem in the coming future. It's very likely that gas prices are gonna keep going up, proof of this is the massive amount of money being pumped into the Alberta Tar Sands, which is very expensive source of oil combined with the increasing demand from Asia and Latin America will mean oil is just gonna get more and more expensive.
North America's infrastructure is based on cheap oil and is doing very little to prepare it's self for expensive oil, which is greatly hurt it's future prosperity. It's up to American's themselves to start planning for future as I sincerely doubt there is gonna be much intervention from the government on this matter.
