Nice, the Cleveland has more hp than the Windsor too. Honesty I'm not even sure if the pre 74 Cougars even belong in this thread as they're muscle cars. Got any pics of your Cougar?

Now for some questions

When did Chargers stop making hardtops, what years did they have SEs, and which year SEs had the triple opera windows?

How close in size are a 74-76 Cougar to a 72-76 Tbird or MkIV?

I think 1974 was the least year for that triple opera window option on Chargers... the 1975 was redesigned. I know that that triple window was offered in 1974...

1974 Charger SE

personally though, I like this standard version with the rare bench seat...

Virtually identical. Starting in 1974, the Cougar was basically a Thunderbird.

1974 Cougar...

I thought the Cougar was a midsized car and the Thunderbird was a full sized car

I've got a 72 Tbird and it looks real similar to that Cougar picture. I'll post some pictures up of my Tbird, but I'll have to get some better pictures up of it. The current pictures I have aren't that good and are of where the original owner of all things sat it AFTER getting it restored. 77-79 they were same size.

Well, up until 1973, back in its day, it was considered a mid-size. The 1973 Thunderbird was larger (amd more luxurious) than the 1973 Cougar, but starting in 1974, the Cougar was based on the Thunderbird chassis....

1973 Cougar below

and the 1973 Thunderbird in comparison...

I would love to see your 72. My uncle has a white 72 Thunderbird with something like 49K miles. It has red interior and a black vinyl top and completely rust free and like new. I think he wanted $5500 for it. I would buy it if I had somewhere to store it.

Here is a "new" one.... beautiful cars!

I've always thought the 1974-76 Cougar's were based off of the Ford Gran Torino Elite rather than the Thunderbird's

I like the exterior looks of the Monte Carlo best, but the interior is pretty blah. The Lincoln Mark IV is runner up for me.

That Chrysler 300 is odd, it took me a second to figure out if I was looking at the front or back of the car in the photo.
