looking back at all the winter beaters i had, putting cherry bombs or thrush mufflers on each for my 'audio' enjoyment... thinking how cool it was to cut the cross-over pipe and instantly have dual exhausts....

and now i bash the youngsters out there with the fart cans on their hatchbacks....

same crap, different generation...

those are no where near as nice as the chrome plated deer whistles that are available! Put a couple on the front bumper, and you'll never see a deer again!. well, almost never....

A vehicle is a lot like a woman. The less it has on the more interesting it is.

I dunno, sometimes when they are modified, they can look even nicer!

Modifications can be OK. But more gaudy tacky stuff you put on them (vehicle or woman) the worse it look IMO.

I think what TechmanOR meant was if you started pulling stuff like the EGR, charcoal canister, etc. off. That's illegal. But an aftermarket exhaust isn't as long as it doesn't exceed a certain decibel level and it has a catalytic converter, if said vehicle came with one from the factory.

I don't think those deer whistles work. I've heard too many stories of people hitting deer and they had them on.

While I'll agree glasspacks don't sound good.....the thing was it was usually V8 cars that they were put on, yeah they sounded like crap but at least they sounded better than any 4 banger with a fart can.

Jeeps and women... They are a lot more fun with their tops off.

Flowmasters sound nasty

Better a pair of Thrush mufflers, Cyclone Purple Hornies, or even generic Old School glasspacks, etc. Damn, my age is showing

I always liked a stout SBC with a lopey cam and headers through stock (quiet) mufflers.

Kind of an understated muscle sound. Like you don't have to prove anything but will if you need to.

I hear you on the age thing.
