They did a segment on in-cab fuel tanks back in the '70s. Apparently, if the truck overturns on the driver's side, the gas cap will create spark from grinding on the road. Regardless of the outcome, they stopped putting in-cab gas tanks.

Ok. Except Dateline NBC didn't begin airing until 1992.
The main thing I don't like about the gas tank location on these GM trucks is with dual tanks. They have one tank on the left side and one tank on the right side like a medium duty truck which if the fuel station pump hose is short, it is kind of a pain to fill both tanks.
Yeah and mine had a C10 that exploded and burned 600 people to death like a human barbecue.
What's your point? Calling me a liar? It's unreal how many Toyota lovers can't even admit a single Toyota could have something go wrong. Note that this is the only one I've ever heard of. Never did find out what caused it.

Why would you be a liar? I'm not sure why you're assuming that unless its true since we're both just stating "facts". I'm a bit more biased towards Nissan/Infiniti so Toyota is on equal footing with any other automotive manufacturer as far as I'm concerned. In fact, most of the line up isn't very attractive for me (save for maybe Lexus).
