As a West Baltimore resident, if your not interested in trying to make a community revitalized then move on. I know a few white families that are raising kids in West Baltimore and are taking advantage of the cheap housing as well as doing "Missionary" work in their community. I wouldn't raise a family in Sandtown, but I could live there by myself if I had too. There are area's in West Baltimore I would live first, like Gwyn's Fallsm Auchetroloy, Resevoir Hill, or Beechfield. Habitat for Humanity is in Santown and are desperately trying to find homeowners that qualify to live in the neighborhood. These are great rehab houses with affordable bills.
