I will be moving to Bolton Hill from out of town soon. I need to get to I-70 West for my commute to work daily. I have trying to find the best route to get there. Google map says 40 W. However, it looks like that's not a very good idea:

Mapquest says MLK Blvd to I-95 to I-695 to I-70. But that adds a lot of time.

I was wondering if any of you know a better route that avoids the bad area (especially since I will be driving back at night.)

The bad area? I don't think you've got some bad area to worry about that you can't drive through.

The route you're looking for is Gwynns Falls Parkway, which turns into Windsor Mill Road, then a left on N Forest Park Ave. After crossing Security Blvd you make the right turn onto I-70 (not Parallel Dr.!) You've got a few ways to get to Gwynns Falls and you can decide which way you like.

I would have to say route 40.

Thanks for the reply. My "bad area" comment was based on the earlier post I referred to in my message. I do not know a lot about the area. In any case, I guess route 40 is pretty slow during office times and alternative routes would help.

Ok, you don't know the area that well.

My summary of the other thread: scared people will find ways to be scared.
