So hubby and I found the perfect house for us - a fixer-upper with lots of land in Perry Hall - near my work and near 95 since he travels to Philly 1-2 days a week. We were all set to make an offer - and then I saw it - the lot markers showing that the huge front yard had been divided off as a another lot. That great house has another lot 8 feet from it. The house is situated so that it would be the side/back of the house, but we planned on redoing it in a few years and relocating the front door in a few years. I am so frustrated!

thanks for allowing me to vent.

Greed. God forbid we leave any open space alone when we can make a fast buck. :-(

I know, but in a way, the person may end up losing money - both the house and the lot have been on the market for a long while.

Koofie I see this a lot in my neighborhood. They'd rather let the houses sit on the market for two years instead of pricing it reasonably. Not exactly a sound business model....
