Does anyone know the normal traffic condition in the morning rush hour from Columbia to Downtown Baltimore?

In my quest to find a home, I'm finding much better values out there and someone said it's safe and a nice area.

Confirm?!

It depends on the specific location, of course, but I'd say that driving from Columbia to Baltimore during morning rush hour would be about a 45 minute drive. It's about 30 minutes during non-peak driving times.

I'm not a huge fan of Columbia or its faux-riche inhabitants, but some people really like it.

My Columbia story: I have a good friend who moved from Canton to Columbia and ended up in a block with music playing and lots of noise. She wasn't comfortable with the activity going on, put up with it and the commute for over 2 years, but eventually rebought another home in Canton.
I am not quite sure how I feel about Columbia. I like the concept of the original idea but it sure is difficult getting around in there.
