Have any of you ever had a corporate credit card? If you go over you pay the difference. I can have a per-diem of $75/day and go over because I ate an appetizer. It doesn't mean that the company, or the taxpayer, in this case, eats that extra spend. It means that either I settle up out of my own pocket when the next statement is due, or it comes out of my paycheck.

I think this outrage is a bit overdone.

If I had $250/night to spend on a hotel room, I just may get a $400 room knowing that I'm only down $150/night out of my own pocket.

Otherwise we would never know about this.
Only a wasteful demonrat would thinks its OK to splurge with taxpayer dollars.
Just because a news outlet reported on something doesn't mean it is an impeachable offense.

The demonrats like Pugh don't care if they overspend taxpayer dollars.
Many years ago Baltimore had a Republican mayor and he didn't waste taxpayer dollars.
Baltimore was also a safe city with jobs and good schools under this dude. But then the democrats took over and the city has declined in every way since then. No accident!

I ended up choosing to go home every night, because the commute was not much better from the hotel. Traffic was bad everywhere.
The mayor should have used Hotwire.com.

The mayor has waaaay more important problem to worry about than a hotel bill.
