What's the commute like from Baltimore to Annapolis? And vice versa? I've heard it is just over 30 minutes. And I'm sure time of day has an effect... Thanks!

I'm not living in Baltimore yet... It's a hypothetical. I may take a job in Annapolis, and am considering living either in Annapolis or Baltimore. Ideally, I'd want to be in one of the safer areas of Bmore. Trying to get a rough idea of what the drive to work would be like. Thanks!

It depends on where you live. Baltimore is a big city. If you moved somewhere in south baltimore and were close to the beltway, about 30 minutes sounds about right.

Right, once you hit I-97, it's a breeze. I would recommend Linthicum, about which a lot has been written if you search.
I used to love Annapolis. No longer. The congestion is hair-raising. No parking, particularly when the legislature is in session.

I live in Pigtown, which is in Southwest Baltimore. Love it here, and it's very close to the highway...and 97 to Annapolis. From my house to the City Dock, it's about 40 minutes, and that's on a tourist season weekend, but it's door to door. Not bad at all.

A couple of my neighbors work in Annapolis and I've never heard them complain about the commute.
