I still haven't been to the Orono market. I need to get there. There's a year round market in Bangor too, behind the auditorium. I haven't been there either.

The reporter interviewed me, but did not include me in her article

In the photo, I am about five foot behind Caitlyn. Just off to the left outside of the picture.

It is a nice article.

The goat cheese is super - both at the Orono and the Bangor farmers markets. The Bangor one is open every Saturday morning since it's in a greenhouse. I got my Thanksgiving turkey from the Bangor one year and it was amazing.

The market in Pickering Square (new this year!) closed in late October or early November. The European Farmers Market is in Sunnyside Greenhouse on Buck St, right behind the auditorium. I looked up the info -

European Farmers' Market

Penobscot County
Bangor: Buck Street, across from Bangor Auditorium parking lot at Sunnyside Greenhouse.
Year-round market! Featuring lots of prepared foods, goats milk and cheese, fresh meats and poultry, veggies, eggs, breads, European pastries, baked goods and seafood, new for 2007. Ethnic food vendors. Active greenhouse, seedlings, plants, etc. Come early! Bob Bowen, 207-326-4741.

Season: Open year round
Hours: Saturday 9 am - 1 pm
WIC: Yes.

They have a lot of great foods and things. It makes me want to jump in the car and go now.

Are there other farmers markets? Any further North? Caribou? Presque Isle?
