This victory couldn't have happened to a better team, better players, management, staff or for that matter the great State of TEXAS!! I just moved here and have lived in six different states. By far, Texas has the nicest, loving, friendliest people anywhere I have been. It does get hot here in the summer but the heat is worth it.

GO RANGERS!! May God Bless Texas with a World Series Title!! There are angels in the stadium and God Blesses those who give Him the Glory. Josh Hamilton is an amazing player, person, Christian... Good for Him for speaking of his faith before millions of people.... I am impressed with the entire Rangers organization.

What an odd thread.

And can someone tell me why gods hate the Yankees and Rays?

No one wants their team to lose but Texas handled things very respectfully. Obviously bad calls are here and there for all teams but Ron Washington proved after the one pitch bounced and hit Swisher that he can argue but not let it get the best of him; he just moved on. That being said, I always like to see a new team winning it if it is not the Yanks and I too agree that the timing is perfect for Texas especially with the new ownership that took over with Nolan Ryan as the face of the organization. I wish them well. The team that played the best definitely won this series and should be congratulated.

The Rays, maybe. But I wouldn't call a team that has 27 World Championships and more money than 2/3 of the world hated by the Gods.....

Some people seem to think that god picked the Rangers over them

From what I saw Saturday, I'm impressed by the Rangers' humbleness and their cohesiveness. Of course, they played a heck of a game Saturday
Sometimes I don't like the "religious stuff" (even though I'm a struggling Christian) 'cause all that talk about God makes it seem like He plays favorites. Oops, sorry, it's for the "religious" thread.

I don't think athletes are saying, "God picked me (or us)", but rather you see people that are at least trying to stay humble. The Rangers do appear to be an especially tight group of guys who genuinely care about each other, which makes the game more enjoyable to watch and ultimately, a more competitive game.

What?

Hamilton was just being thankful for what he and the team has gone through.

When you put in perspective all the things he went through, I think he has every right to thank God, whether or not you agree.
