Choke! Choke! Choke! The Yankees Choked to the max tonight! What the hell? Your players were making mistakes on things taught in little leagues. Then you put 300 lbs worth of Old Ass CC Sabathia on the mound and he croaks over after 5 pitches.

Based on tonight's game, how the heck the Yankees made it this far is beyond comprehension. Luck? Or did you guys just choke again against The Astros?

It's been a great ALCS with some of the best baseball a fan could hope to see. On to a great World Series.

IN KIND : Yankees 4th game 4 errors IMO is not the best baseball a fan can see - the lack of fundamentals. Last nights game, a Yankee baserunner gets doubled up from the outfield - again lack of fundamentals IMO. They deserved to lose the series IMO.

The best team won hands down! Congrats to the Houston Astros!

Should be an entertaining 2019 World Series!

And a great decade (in fact the winningest franchise in terms of regular season matchups, just under 56%). But just like the 1980s, when they were also the winningest team during the first 162, they failed to win a title, but with one exception: they failed to even win a pennant this decade, the first time in a century that they've failed to reach the World Series!

They've now tied the longest LCS series losing streak at 4. But of course, the playoffs are much more complex than they've been during most of MLB history. It was once simply winning the regular season meant a WS berth, then simply winning your division plus the ALCS; but now, even though its slightly easier to qualify for the postseason, if you have the best record in the league, you still have to win two series just to reach the WS. Then in the case of wild card teams, it takes eight wins to reach the WS, with the first game being single elimination. It's tougher to have a dynasty these days, though the SF Giants won three of five titles in the first half of this decade (even though the late 2010s have been a sad time for the club).

That loss also means a bit of a revenue loss for Washington (about $2 million) since Houston is over a thousand miles from DC, cutting into any visitor, and of course, Houston has its nicest weather right around this time of year. Maybe some angry Yankee fans should rename the street that marks the southern boundary of the Village?

The series loss also lowers the Twins stock value as well. But in the end as they say, batting drives up the box office, while pitching and fielding drives the championships.

Should also be an entertaining ---- and intriguing ---- off-season for the Yankees. Gregorius and Gardner are free agents.

Gardner will be gone. Too many OF’s on the depth chart and remember the corpse of Jacoby Ellsbury hasn’t officially retired yet and I think he’s got another year or 2.
Didi should stay but with all the moving IF parts it’s a tough stay. Personally if it were me I’d trade Andujar, give 3b to Urshela, and keep Gleybar at second even though SS is his primary posistion.

Like an annual rite of passage, the first order of offseason priorities for Cashman and Hal, to the chagrin of fans, is bringing back Gardner on a one year deal, you can put it in the book. They LOOOOVE Gardner.

They will take a more hardline stance with Gregorius, a lowball offer and let him test the market. They have leverage with Torres moving to short.

And having to face the Astros with a rain delay in Yankee Stadium, which made them more tired in terms of traveling from the Bronx to Houston.
