FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Maddon, Piniella win Manager of Year awards

I'm especially happy to see Joe Maddon win this honor!

Lou Piniella???? Manager of the Year for that choke job?

Charlie Manuel is the true NL manager of the year. I'd even nominate the Marlins' manager for keeping that low-payroll team in contention for a good part of the season over Piniella.

Oh well...at least Charlie is the one wearing the ring. As for Piniella and the Cubbies, once again its "wait til next year!"

That's the problem with voting before the post-season. It does seem kind of crazy that Pinella wins after the play-off performance.

Rings trump trophies any day!!

Manuel actually does deserve it more, when you consider the Phillies' finishes the last few years as opposed to the way they finished this year and how far they've come. And Maddon fully deserves his.

Glad to see Maddon won......Piniella? Not so much....

Maddon brought a young Rays team that had never even won more than 70 games before to a pennant......Piniella? Well, let's just say the Cubs lineup is stacked.....he didn't really have to do anything this year. lol
