Finals MVP rarely goes to a player from a team outside of the top couple records in the NBA.
Spurs with more wins but no one guy that really carried the team sooooooo......there is the general logic for the MVP award.
We had a thread a year or so back where we analyzed this phenomenon....and that's what it is.....MVP is more of a team award for regular season record and not for individual acheivement. Otherwise Kobe would have 2 more that currently sit on Nash's trophy case.
I personally don't like the logic of the MVP award and so I don't really give it much weight.
