While not the player he once was, he could be a pretty valuable piece on a contender with his experience and versatility.

I would think Miami in particular would be interested in him but probably can't scare up the cap space.

Looks like Mavs are after him too.

Dallas Mavericks plan to pursue Pau Gasol once free agency begins - ESPN Dallas

I'm actually beginning to hope Melo winds up on the Lakers, that would at least make the season entertaining.

You must hate the Lakers then.

With him and Kobe being black holes whenever the ball is passed to them, I think they'd need 2 basketballs.

really i think pau goes to memphis (home coming?) or re signs with the lakers.

Nah, I'm just stealing one of the memes from the Melo & Love thread.

I mean I keep hearing about all the free agents just begging to play there with Kobe so why not Melo?

That article was written before the Chandler trade...he wouldn't have anywhere to play now. Miami would be interesting because they do need a center, but it only works if Lebron leaves What about OKC?
