Well I think you can forget that since they had trouble beating the Clippers without CP3 at home.
I agree. I have watched them and tonight was a summary of why they won't win this series.
1- Turnovers
2- FTs
3- They are not mentally tough as a group. Do not handle adversity well.
4- Harden will have to figure out how to impose his will against the Clippers.
Meanwhile, the other two semifinals series start today. My predictions for tonight:
Both road teams take Game 1. Bulls steal a game from the Cavs who are without Love and Smith, and the Clippers runaway from Houston silencing Rocket fans.
CP3 should play game 2 and sit game 3. Wouldnt be surprised if CP3 doesnt play game 2 since theyve already gotten the split. But, its bad coaching not to try for 2-0 because at that point its basically over.
Also, I dont know about Rivers starting his son over Jamal, though I understand hes good off the bench.
Well it turned out to be more than relatively comfortable. It wasn't a blowout until late in the 4th, but they still won by 16. The Rockets just don't much beyond Howard and Hardin; they're sort of the Western Conference version of the Cavs.
The Clippers just finished a series with probably the 3rd best playoff team, and now they're playing probably the 6th or 7th best playoff team. They should beat the Rockets in 5 or 6 games; 5 if Chris Paul returns, 6 if he doesn't.
It's interesting how so 'easy' it looked compared to playing the Spurs. Seemed like a lot of rebounds and loose balls went the Clips way and everything flowed smoothly.
I saw Paul walking around after the end of the game and he was still hobbling and favoring the leg. I wouldn't risk worse damage now and get more rest for game 2 and sit it out.

I agree that since they will be playing with house money in Game 2 there is no need to play CP3 in Game 2 since they got the split.
Meanwhile, the Bulls now have a seemingly fairly healthy Rose and Gasol, who are both all-star caliber, along with a fairly deep, solid cast of effective role players.
You left out the Bulls best player, also an all-star, Jimmy Butler.
Who last night scored 7 points in the last 6 minutes and finished with 20 points on only 16 shots.
I guess that's just par for the course though because he's emerged so much in hte last year or so.
This year he added offense:
Top 10 in offensive rating, offensive win-shares, defensive win-shares and overall win-shares.
Averaging 24-5-4 with just 2 TO's and 47% from the field so far in the playoffs.
True but Lebron has accomplished too much in the past 4 years for me to count him and his team out after one loss. As much as I would love to see the Cavs get eliminated I am old enough to know that they will be ready in Game 2.
This.
Also, listening to talk radio this is third or fourth time now Lebron has lost Game 1 to Chicago each time his team went on to win the series.
I think the Bulls played very well and the Cavs were decent (very cold especially early on) but I had a problem with our "gameplan" in the first quarter Iman taking 7 shots to open the game is not a recipe for success (Lebron was 2/3 at that point). Mike Miller shouldn't be a starter- that will be remedied when JR comes back.
If Rose and Dunleavy are hitting their shots the Bulls are going to be tough to beat. If the Cavs can't defend pick n roll or defend it like last night- problems.
