Last time I remembered he was Defensive player of the year and was a great post-game player easily slam-dunking over his defender in his Orlando Days back in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, those were probably Dwight's best years of his career but now he has went downhill from there ever since, getting traded to LA to team up with Kobe in 2013 never worked, then going to Houston for 2014 to team up with James Harden only got them eliminated in the 1st round to the Blazers, then in 2015 they did make it to the Conference Finals but lost to GSW, and this year they almost got swept to GSW again in the 1st round, so now the Rockets are considering to move him to another team, where do you think he will end up? I heard rumours if him returning to Orlando or trading him to Chicago, Indiana, etc... but that might still not bring back the glory days of Dwight Howard where he was just unstoppable to guard in the paint, what has happened to him? he is only 30 and still has many years to go in his career? He lead the Magic to the Finals in 2009, he was slam-dunk champion in 2008, I really miss the old Dwight Howard, now it just seems that he wont be the same again. Will the on-slaught continue or was he just not a good fit for Houston?
The game has changed. Outside shooting is now what rules the NBA. With that said, I do think he is good enough to go to a bad team and make them a potential playoff team. He does all the stuff on the defensive end and will do enough on the offensive end to help the team. With the lakers and houston, the ball ALWAYS started at the outside with Kobe and Harden. i think if he came to the Nets, Magic, 76ers, etc...teams with role players and don't have any stars. he'll be close to what he was. He may have to do that as I'm not sure if there are any 'good' teams what really want to him for the money he will be asking.
i'm a nets fan and i'll take him on the nets. Move Brook to PF like Tim Duncan.
Back injuries have slowed him, but he has also been a player who gets by on his natural talents and not putting in the work night & day to become a truly great player, like Jordan, Kobe, Curry etc all have done. He seems perfectly content with putting up the numbers he can without putting in maximum effort, smiling whether his team wins or loses.

His best years are gone. He's an arrogant, soft, selfish piece of crap. He wants to be they guy--if he goes to a team where he has that, he can probably still be a 20-10 guy, but he's not a winner and will never be as dominant as he once was. He'll probably may the HOF by default because of how good he was in his first 6-7 years, Basketball HOF sucks and there needs to be a separate NBA HOF. If the decline continues, he shouldn't be a HOFer...
He's the best center the current era had to offer, but historically I don't think he's one of the best centers. I'd much rather have 30 yr old Duncan, Shaq, DRob, Dream or Ewing at center. Howard was an athletic freak, but as soon as he wasn't the best athlete he was done as far as carrying a team.
None of this has changed, Dwight is still the same in Houston.
