Who are the Karl Malone's and Barkley's of this era? Guys with supreme talent but for some reason won't get over that hump to NBA gold.

Demarcus Cousins - Probably the best all around "big man" in the league. He can post, he can stretch the floor, and he can block/rebound. He's the total package. Unfortunately it seems like he was born in the wrong era, the NBA has become a strong small ball league, and I'm not sure if Cousins skillset, and attitude, will have him leading a team to a championship. Plus I think he wasted too much time in Sac.

Mike Conley - Talented point, but he's locked up with Memphis until he's 33. I don't see the Grizzlies going anywhere. An aging core, that can't win the Western Conference, that may be due for a rebuild in a few years. That doesn't bode well for Conley's chances.

Chris Paul - I hate to say it, but I don't think Chris Paul isn't going to win one. He should by all logic, but he won't. The Rockets team this year is going to be strong but it won't be enough for the Warriors. CP3 is on the wrong side of 30, and he's never been past the 2nd round (his best chance was against OKC in 2014 but Westbrook absolutely outplayed him during some crucial moments).

Who else would you add to the list?

Hard to say, are you including championships they win when past prime like so many have scooped up?

Let's not count the aged veteran snagging one off the bench. Let's say as a significant contributor to the championship run.

Well ya got AD, Harden and Westbrook...I'd say 2 of 3 wont win a ring. Probably 50-50 chance none of them do.

Which is crazy because Westbrook and Harden are probably Top 5 players in the league right now, but they are just playing in a super competitive conference where the Top teams are absolute monsters with young talent in their primes.
